Beta Blend
True to its name, this blend is the product of experimentation and free play. We let the coffee components guide us and tinkered with roast until the full image took shape. Juicy citrus notes linger in the distance, while a balanced, mildly sweet base comes into focus. It’s an approachable and loveable counterpoint to many of our heftier blends. Our roasters spend years dedicated to honing their passion to craft remarkably distinct profiles. They’re guided by visions of imagined flavor, always creating, unbridled by expectations. Our signature blends were born from this exploration and have become our most iconic coffees. Their creation took time, experimentation, and refinement — but we believe great taste is worth the pursuit. Unlike our other blends, Beta Blend was not crafted by striving after a specific, predetermined flavor profile. Instead, we were inspired by seasonal single origins whose lots were too small to sell, but their flavor was too good not for us not to buy. We found pairings that played off each other and ended up creating a flavor profile that surprised even us. We employ the Japanese notion of Kaizen in our roasting practice. This idea of “good change” or “continuous improvement” drives our team to keep daily records of their tastings, always chasing better, more delicious, more consistent coffees.
